Summer 2020 Virtual Concert

The IC4C team and our young musicians thank you so much for having watched our first online concert! We also thank you for your kind and generous donations to In Concert for Cambodia!

This virtual concert, organized by pianist and poet Stanford Cheung in Toronto, featured several highly accomplished young Canadian artists: The Maria and Danilo Krstić Duo in Ottawa played a medley of violin tunes ranging from Prokofiev, Gershwin to the Beatles! On piano: Victoria Wongin Toronto performed Chopin, Stanford Cheung played Debussy and Philip Glass, and Tong Wang in Airdrie, Alberta, played Aaron Copland and Rachmaninoff (arr. Earl Wild). IC4C Honorary Patron, Janina Fialkowska, O.C., also said a few words from her home in Bavaria to begin the concert.

Together with our recent appeal for the Covid-19 Resilience Budget at The Peaceful Children’s Homes, we have raised over $7,000! These funds will make a huge difference to the lives of the children and young people at the Homes – and will help keep them safe and healthy during these challenging times.

If you weren’t able to attend the concert, or if you’d like to watch it again, a video of the entire concert is available here:
